Enter the Wealthsimple Gold Giveaway for a chance to win a 1 kg gold bar worth $175,000 or one of 60 collectible gold coins, plus thousands of cash deposits.

Target Audience for the Wealthsimple Gold Giveaway

  • Residency: Must be exclusive residents of Canada
  • Minimum Age: Participants must have reached the age of majority in their province or territory of residence

Entry Deadline

  • Final entry must be submitted by December 5 at 11:59 PM (ET)

How to Participate

Participation routes include both account activity and a No Purchase Entry (NPE) option. A total maximum of one million (1,000,000) entries is allowed per person, regardless of the method used.

Base Entry (5,000 entries)

  • Open and fund a Wealthsimple account (minimum $1) OR hold an existing funded account (minimum $1)
  • Complete the portfolio questionnaire via the application

Bonus Entries

  • Earn one (1) additional entry for every $1 (eligible increment) deposited or transferred into the account
  • Generate entries via successful referrals and by activating the “spin the gold coin” feature in the app

No Purchase Required (NPE) Options (Social Media)

  • Respond to and republish the contest post on X, including the hashtag #WealthsimpleGold
  • Comment on and share the contest post in an Instagram story, including the hashtag #WealthsimpleGold

Mail-In Entry

  • Write a unique, original composition of at least 100 words on the theme “My Portfolio Diversification Strategy” and mail it, along with your contact information

Prizes Available

A total of 5,061 prizes will be awarded, with a maximum of one prize per winner.

Grand Prize

  • 1 x 1 kilogram Gold Bar (Approximate Retail Value (ARV): $175,000)

The winner has the option to choose the cash equivalent instead of the physical gold bar.

Secondary Prizes

  • 10 x 1-ounce Gold Coins (ARV: $5,500 each)
  • 50 x 1/10-ounce Gold Coins (ARV: $550 each)
